Valentine's Bunting

I saw these pretty Valentine's buttons at Michael's, when I was searching for inspiration to make bunting with some leftover burlap. The best Valentines's Day decorations have a vintage feel and I loved the look of these buttons, paired with the natural feel of the burlap. Each one has a unique design; some heart shaped, some flower shaped and some simple circles.

This was easy to make, by using a template from the Internet, for a small bunting. I simply used it as a pattern on the burlap and then glued seven buttons on the four fabric pieces. Make sure to arrange the buttons first, in the pattern you like, because once they are glued on the burlap, they are there for good.

Measure some twine to the desired length. Attach burlap pieces by folding over and gluing the top edge around the twine. I will be hanging this sweet bunting on a mirror in my great room when I decorate for Valentine's Day, later this week.

Happy Wednesday!

  21. Your bunting is one of cutest I've seen on blog land. The buttons really make it. Great job. Hope mine turns out so cute.
Wonder if Michaels' in Grand Junction, CO will have any of those cute buttons, maybe Jo-Anns. I'm sure I'll be paying a visit to town this week, will have to check it out. See what HL still has for their decorating bargains. Bought a few things last week and wish I'd gotten a couple more. Such fun shopping for bargains, always. Is there anybody that doesn't like to find a bargain?
