Branches and Daisies

As I have shown you before, I like to change the window topper in my laundry room to fit the seasons. My regular laundry room decor is a mixture of cheerful daisies and whimsical art. With the change in the weather and the grass about to turn green, I like a softer and lighter look. That is why I love daisies - the color and the soft feel of the petals, are a sweet touch.

To make this natural looking window valance, I used the same branches I used for the winter look and simply removed the red berries. This bunch of branches is held together by wrapping it with twine and tying a simple bow. I wanted a light and airy look, so I randomly inserted just a few daisies in the branches. It was easy to nestle them between the branches - no need for glue and I can easily remove the flowers and change the look.

I love the natural look of the branches, the twine and the simple white daisies. This will be a happy addition to the window in my laundry room and will stay in place through the summer months.

That was an amazing basketball game last night and while we are disappointed that Michigan didn't win, they have an talented, young team and their future looks bright.

Have a great day!

  2. Great ball game last night. I, too, was cheering for the Wolverines. I was amazed at all the underclassmen starting on both teams. Both will have great futures if they don't all depart for the NBA. It was fun seeing 4 of the Fab Five at the game too.
I like your daisies too, Vicki.
