With the start of June, I changed some decor around the house to give things a summer feel. One of the items I like to change with the seasons are these candlesticks that sit on the coffee table in my great room. It all started when I saw an interesting way to use candlesticks and pinned the idea here. I have a lot a of candles, but what a fun and different way to add some interest and height to a table.
For the summer, I am using preserved boxwood balls on the candlesticks. I like the natural element and color.
In the winter, I used these sparkly green modern pine cone shapes. They went well with my Christmas decor and were a bit unexpected.
And, perhaps my favorite and directly from the inspiration, are the textured pumpkins I used in the fall.
My decor may be somewhat traditional, but it is always the unexpected, whimsical or seasonal touches that add interest to a room.
Happy Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteI love this look, so pretty. I keep forgetting to try this, but first I think I need some boxwood balls or something. Looks fabulous. Thanks in advance also for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I love all the different looks for each time of year.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fabulous idea!
ReplyDeleteLove them:) Have a blessed day dear friend! I enjoy trying new decor ideas!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, Vicki. I bought 2 "greenery balls" at the dollar store and they are on top of some candlesticks on the mantel. I don't do beachy - it wouldn't work for our Canadian climate. But greenery in the house for summer does work nicely.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteLOve these and how you can change it out with the Seasons!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I'm a fan of the preserved boxwood. I have several.
ReplyDeleteI adore every single idea! I had never used candlesticks for anything other than their intended use until I started blogging and got hooked on Pinterest. Who knew there could be so many more things to do with those simple little pedestals!
ReplyDeleteSuch good ideas to reuse the same element in unexpected ways! It's got ME thinking....
